When looking to relocate Metabolic Maintenance, the search was long, but the decision was easy. Not only did the Sisters, Oregon community have stunning landscapes, clean air, and water, but it was (and still is) also home to a health-conscious population who were supportive of a wellness brand integrating into the community.

At Metabolic Maintenance, we have the privilege to be more than just an employer and a workplace in Sisters. We are also proud supporters of equitable health, nutritional and otherwise, for all people in the community where we live. We do this by contributing to a few outstanding, local charitable organizations.

Seed to Table

Seed to Table Farm was also founded right here in our Sisters, Oregon community. In only 5 years of operation, they have grown exponentially to achieve full charitable 501 C certification. We have supported this project from its beginnings, and are proud to be the Lead Business Sponsor of Seed to Table as of 2022. Through this sponsorship, we have helped to bring thousands of pounds of nutritious produce to people in our community who would otherwise go without.

Seed to Table exists to nourish the relationship between children and what they eat, for the sake of a healthier future. This organization not only provides food and farming education to local school children, but it also provides locally grown produce to hundreds of underserved families in the surrounding areas. Recognizing the inequities and injustices present in Central Oregon, Seed to Table makes inclusion a priority.

With an all-female-identifying workforce, Seed to Table Farm grows a wide assortment of produce on a few acres of land, in Sisters. The farm is located on the family property of Founder and Director, Audry Tehan.

Seed to Table’s produce is available on a sliding scale, can be purchased using SNAP benefits, and even be acquired through food banks. You too can become a supporter of Seed to Table through volunteer work or charitable donation. Visit their website for more information: seedtotableoregon.org

Happy Girls Run in Sisters Oregon and Beyond!

An important aspect of longevity, and the perfect complement to nutrition, is regular exercise. An essential part of getting regular exercise is finding an activity we enjoy doing. For many, that is walking, jogging, and running. If you need some motivation, a charitable race series in a beautiful location may be just the trick! It is for us!

We are the proud Presenting Sponsor of the Happy Girls Runs, hosted by Bend Races and Lay It Out Events. While one of these runs occurs right here in Sisters, Oregon, our support spans across similar Happy Girls Runs in nearby Bend, Oregon, and Spokane, Washington. Not only does this race series encourage the inclusion of all female-identifying participants, but a portion of runner registration is donated to local nonprofits. Here in Sisters, that nonprofit is the local Park & Recreation District. In Bend, the beneficiary will be Saving Grace, supporting survivors of abuse and domestic violence.

We are also a premier sponsor of the Salmon Run and Haulin’ Aspen Race, in Bend, and The Redmond Half Marathon. This year, the Beneficiary of The Salmon Run donation is The Giving Plate, another community food relief program. The Redmond Half will be donating to the Redmond Rotary Club. Haulin’ Aspen will benefit the Bend Endurance Club, providing wellness outreach education.
